Lunch at Comptoir du Relais

Sara: Friends recommended that we try this “gastro bistro” in St. Germain, which is so popular that a line forms every day before the noon opening. Well, it was pretty damn good. I didn’t eat the blood sausage that came on our charcuterie plate, but Drew said it was good, if rich. (He had approximately one bite.) My poulet roti was tender and flavorful, same with his beef, the service was wonderfully friendly, and the wine very moderately priced. The best part might have been my dessert, though—vanilla pot de creme.
